Our History

Your hosts Graham and Moe fell in love with the view of the estuary at number 30 on a cold, crisp but sunny December afternoon in 2016 .Walking into the back garden we were struck by the warmth and calm of the suntrap formed in the south west facing garden.

We had run a successful delicatessen that specialised in traditional sausages, wood fired pizzas, fresh baguettes, cheese and olives. After 15 years serving hundreds of customers every day we decided it was time to take a rest.We sold up and prepared to move to France.

We had and still have our work cut out for us.Number 30 had been used as a family holiday home for years.Every room apart from the tiny kitchen area was a bedroom including hallways. We have knocked down walls to create larger rooms, converted a run down loft, installed a new fosse, completely rewired and replumbed the whole house and all without a television programme.

The appartment was one of our first projects.Friends and family have always stayed here with us and this year after many requests we decided to let it out as a holiday apartment.

Everybody who visits Number 30 comments on how peaceful it is.How wonderful the birdsong that fills the air. Most of all everyone comments on the beautiful view.
